Instagram has become one of the primary platforms for conveying Islamic messages to the general public, particularly the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the digital da’wah communication strategies used on the Muslim.or.id Instagram account through a semiotic approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, employing Roland Barthes’s semiotic analysis techniques, which include denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings. Data were obtained from observations of visual content and text in posts on the Muslim.or.id Instagram account. The results indicate that the digital da’wah communication strategies on this account utilize simple visual symbols, persuasive textual narratives, and the use of Quranic verses and hadiths to legitimize the messages. From a semiotic perspective, the content not only conveys literal meaning but also constructs ideological meaning in the form of strengthening religious identity and the internalization of Islamic values. This study confirms that digital da’wah via Instagram is highly effective in fostering religious awareness when presented in a visual, communicative, and contextual manner.
Muhammad Anshori Aulia Gusnita Herman Copyright (c) 2026 AN-NABA : Islamic Communication Journal 2026-06-15 2026-06-15 5 1 29 44 10.51311/an-naba.v5i1.1808 Strategies and Challenges of Islam Political Communication in the Digital Era : A Case Study of Nahdhatul Ulama (NU) in Bungo Regency https://ejurnal.iaiyasnibungo.ac.id/index.php/annaba/article/view/1490
Islamic political communication in the digital era has undergone significant changes alongside the development of information technology and social media.
