Relevansi Pemikiran Pendidikan Jamaluddin Al-Afgani dalam Konteks Pendidikan Islam Kontemporer

Kurangnya integrasi antara nilai-nilai Islam dan ilmu pengetahuan modern dalam kurikulum pendidikan Islam, tingginya pengaruh budaya asing, ketidakseimbangan antara pendidikan agama dan ilmu pengetahuan serta kekakuan dalam integrasi pendekatan rasional dan ilmiah dalam pengajaran agama Islam merupakan kondisi faktual pendidikan islam di Indonesia saat ini. Melalui Pemikiran pendidikan Jamaluddin Al-Afghani yang memiliki relevansi kuat dalam konteks pendidikan Islam kontemporer, akan memberikan penguatan pemahaman terhadap dunia pendidikan di Indonesia bahwa perlunya keseimbangan modernisasi pendidikan islam untuk menjawab tantangan zaman dengan memadukan nilai-nilai Islam bersama ilmu pengetahuan modern dan teknologi agar umat Islam dapat bersaing secara global, perlunya reformasi dalam kurikulum dan metode pengajaran dan penekanan bahwa pendidikan Islam harus memadukan akal dan wahyu dalam mendukung pendekatan rasional dan ilmiah yang tentunya tidak bertentangan dengan ilmu pengetahuan dan logika. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kepustakaan untuk mengeksplorasi pemikiran Jamaluddin Al-Afghani terkait pendidikan islam. Hasil analisis menyimpulkan bahwa pemikiran Jamaluddin Al-Afghani menekankan pentingnya integrasi ilmu pengetahuan modern dengan nilai-nilai agama, keterampilan praktis, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pendidikan Islam. Diharapkan artikel ini memberikan wawasan baru bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam yang adaptif terhadap zaman modern.
