Author Guidelines

  1. Journal of Islamic Religious Education is published twice a year, namely April and October
  2. Articles that can be considered for publication in this journal are the results of research activities and have never been published in other scientific journals.
  3. Articles are written in Indonesian, no more than 12 pages. Articles are sent via ojs by registering first via the website on the online submission menu with the article file in Microsoft Word format.
  4. Confirmation of the loading/rejection of the manuscript will be notified. Authors whose articles are published will be informed, while articles that are not published will not be returned, except at the request of the author.  Incoming manuscripts will be evaluated and edited for the uniformity of the manuscript format.
  5. The article writing format includes:
    • Title : written in Indonesian and English with a maximum of 14 words in times new roman, bold, center aligned
    • Author Name: written without a title, and the primary author is the first author and the correspondence author. Agencies are written in full and e-mails are listed only for correspondence authors
    • Abstract : written in Indonesian and English with 150-200 words, single spaced, at least contains objectives, methods, results, conclusions and suggestions.
    • Key words: written in Indonesian and English with 3 -5 word phrases that are important, specific, or representative for the articles prepared
    • Introduction: Contains background, rationale, and or research urgency. References (relevant literature or research), need to be included in this section, in relation to the justification of research urgency, the emergence of research problems, alternative solutions, and the solutions chosen.  The way of writing sources in the text needs to clearly indicate the author's name and source citation, which is in the form of the year of publication and the page where the manuscript is located.  The introduction is written in Times New Roman 12 upright, with 1 space. Each paragraph begins with a word that is indented about 1 cm from the left edge of each column.  The problems and objectives, as well as the usefulness of the research are written narratively in paragraphs, no need to be given special subtitles.  Likewise operational definitions, if deemed necessary, are also written narratively.  The introduction also contains a state of the art (review of literature or previous research) with the aim of justifying/strengthening the novelty statement or scientific contribution and originality of the article.  References to articles in this journal, namely the last 10 years, originating from primary sources to strengthen the justification for originality or contribution of the title of this research.  Before writing the purpose of the study, there must be a clear and explicit Gap Analysis or statement of gap (originality) or novelty statement, or what is the difference/uniqueness of this research compared to previous studies, also in terms of the importance of this research being carried out after  just written the research objectives in this article in a straightforward and clear manner.
    • Method : Contains the type of research, time and place of research, targets/objectives, research subjects, procedures, instruments and data analysis techniques as well as other matters related to the method of research. targets/objectives, research subjects, procedures, data and instruments, and data collection techniques, as well as data analysis techniques and other matters related to the method of research can be written without sub-sections.  The contents of paragraph writing on the method are adjusted to the type of research.
    • Results and Discussion: The results of the research are presented in the form of graphs, tables or descriptive. Analysis and interpretation of these results is necessary before they are discussed.  The data presented is not raw data but data that has been analyzed.  Presentation of research results in tables and figures needs to be explained/reviewed but not discussed in detail.  The table is written in the middle or at the end of each research result/gain description text.  If the width of the Table is not enough to be written in half a page, it can be written in a full page.  Table titles are written from left to center, all words begin with a capital letter, except conjunctions.  If more than one line is written in single space.  Results in the form of images, or data that is made of images/schemes/graphics/diagrams for presentation also follow the existing rules;  title or image name is placed below the image, from the left, and spaced 1 space from the image. If more than 1 line, single spaced between lines, or at least 12. The discussion is focused on linking the data and the results of the analysis to the problem or research objectives and  wider theoretical context.  Can also the discussion is the answer to the question why found such facts in the data?.  The discussion is written attached to the data discussed.  The discussion is endeavored not to be separated from the data discussed.  The discussions made must be supported by real and clear facts;  and elements (what else) whether there is conformity or conflict with the results of other people's research should also be explained.
    • Conclusions and Suggestions: Conclusions can be generalizations of findings according to research problems, can also be in the form of recommendations for next steps. Conclusions are written in paragraph form, not in list/numbering item form.  Suggestions can be in the form of input for the next researcher, can also be recommendations implicative from research findings
    • Reference list (contains references in the description only and is guided by the APA (American Psychological Association) Style Version 6 citation pattern. Use a reference manager (Mandeley or other applications) to make a bibliography. The number of reference sources used as a bibliography of scientific literature ( 80% primary references such as journals, research reports and proceedings and 20% secondary references such as books, theses, theses, dissertations and internet sources. The number of references in the bibliography is at least 12 references.
